Players on the practice team practice with the B team at least once a week in the offseason and are welcome at all B team practices during the season. Though they do not begin the season on the B team roster, it is common for a few players to be added to the roster over the course of the season and to participate in WCRHL tournament play. The practice team also plays in the Davis Indoor Sports Center in-house hockey league, generally in the upper-bronze division. Games at the DISC are once a week. Players on the practice team pay lesser dues than those who play in tournaments but they do pay dues.
